Buy Local Policy Passes!

A milestone in HEAL-SLO’s policy group, the County Board of Supervisors decided to pass a policy that allocates a portion of food purchasing to local vendors. Buying local not only directly supports our local growers, but it also supports our planet by reducing emissions that would have been caused by transporting food across the nation.
