Recreation Classes

Within San Luis Obispo County, there are numerous organizations that offer youth and adult recreation classes.  To see what is available in your area you might want to check out the following web sites.  Please note, recreation classes often change quarterly.  For example, new recreation classes often start in the summer, fall, winter, and spring and thus your options for physical activity can also change with the seasons.  Variety can make physical activity more fun.  Also, you can obtain your own recreation class by buying or renting a DVD from a bookstore or the library.

Recreation Offered by Other Agencies or Private Businesses

If you are interested in a membership that includes regular fitness classes check your phone book under “Community Centers”, “Health Clubs”, “Youth Organizations & Centers”, “Yoga Instruction” or the specific activity you are interested in.  Your local YMCA ( also offers recreation as well as after school programs.  Below are some activities that may be offered in your area.
