The upcoming HEAL-SLO Coalition Summit will address the childhood obesity epidemic affecting our children, open a community-wide dialogue, and provide strategies for building a healthy community.
The Summit will host an array of speakers: Dr. Steve Kelder will be the keynote speaker from University of Texas at Austin, the CA Center for Public Health Advocacy will be discussing soda tax/fee, and Santa Clara County will be discussing their recent ban on fast food toys.

Time: 8am-4:30pm
Where: The SLO Embassy Suites
What: In addition to our guest speakers, four breakout sessions will discuss the topics of Strategic growth, Food systems, Behavior change and Worksite wellness.
Registration: will be available at the end of August but space is limited. CEUs will be offered.
