SLO Rideshare is gearing up for its 4th annual Safe Routes to School (SRTS) workshop on May 19th.SLO Rideshare is gearing up for its 4th annual Safe Routes to School (SRTS) workshop on May 19th, 2009 from 8-12pm. Safe Routes to School is a national program run by parents, schools, community leaders and local, state, and federal governments to improve the health and well-being of children by enabling and encouraging them to walk and bicycle to school. This year’s workshop will introduce the goals and methods behind the program, available resources, a panel of experienced local guests, and best of all provide information on how schools can get money for implementing these programs. Parents, school administrators, city staff and elected officials are encouraged to attend. The workshop will be held Tuesday May 19th from 8am- 12pm at the San Luis Obispo Art Center, and did we mention that it is Free.
